Our job as coaches is to prescribe training that will enhance an athlete’s ability to perform their skill. One key component in this process is the ability to identify compensatory strategies within the assessment. While we have the best of intentions to improve upon these limitations, many times our training programs will unintentionally reinforce these compensatory strategies because we forget to link our assessment back to skill. In this session, we will discuss an important principle that links skill to the assessment and training process. ( Los Angeles ) INGRID MARCUM, CSCS
